Schoolmates is a 17hh gentle giant who would make an ideal all-rounder for low-level competition. The lightly-raced Redoute’s Choice x Fume Blanc gelding is only 5 years old but learns quickly, is easy to handle and has no nasties in him. He’s comfortable to ride and has been popping over small jumps recently.

Lucky Assassin is a well-built 7yo gelding by Murtajill from Rushcutter who stands at 15.2hh. He has a soft mouth and a trainable attitude but does sometimes get impatient so he needs an experienced handler and rider who will build a solid foundation in him. That said, he is only at the start of his retraining journey and improves with every ride. Lucky is agile, sure-footed and would be a handy addition to a polocrosse home.

Delicato is a 15.3hh 4yo gelding by Exceedingly Good from Delicata. He has floaty, ground-covering paces that would turn heads in the dressage arena and has also shown plenty of scope over jumps, making him an ideal showjumping or eventing prospect. Delicato trialled once but never made it to the races as he was suspended for being too slow. He is sound, friendly and has no dirt in him. We can’t believe he hasn’t been snapped up already! Delicato is located at Oxley Island, NSW.

Gazimber is 10yo Conatus x Archways Baby gelding who wants to take you on long and steady trail rides. Standing at 16hh, Gaz is an even-tempered horse with a soft mouth and lovely self-carriage. He retired sound from racing in January 2020 after only 16 starts but already has the basics established as his previous trainer Michael Lynch was a showjumper. Gazimber would also be suitable for low-level jumping and dressage. Gaz does have a damaged wither but as you can see in the photographs it’s not severe. He is currently located at Capertee.

If you’re looking for a blank slate with a sweet nature and a willingness to learn, Dupondius could be your perfect match. The 3yo 15.2hh Jetspur x Coinage gelding retired sound from racing in January 2020 because he was just too slow. He always tries his hardest but does sometimes get nervous if he is overloaded with information. He is yet to be tested under saddle. Sparkling City is a 6yo O’Reilly X Destined gelding who stands at 16hh. He is a calm and confident horse who you can rely on to be the same horse day in day out. “Sparky” retired from racing in July 2019 because he was too slow. Since then he has been taken on a lot of trail rides where he has demonstrated his lovely nature and level head. He is truly best friend material. Dashing Hollie is a 4yo Arlington x Dashing Denar mare who stands at 16.2hh. She retired sound from racing in August 2019 and was given a good spell before beginning retraining. She is a quick learner who has excelled in flatwork and shown scope over jumps. Her athletic build and straight movement make her ideal for a competitive career in any equestrian discipline. She would be a fun project for an experienced rider to bring on so if you’re looking for a friendly horse with loads of potential Dashing Hollie is your girl.

If Georgica was a celebrity, he’d be the equine George Clooney with good looks, a friendly personality and charisma to boot. The 5yo gelding by Ocean Park from Glitz’N’Glam stands at 16hh. He has lovely self-carriage and a willingness to learn but is still green so will need an intermediate or better rider. Georgica is looking for someone who will take him for long trail rides through the bush and walks on the beach. A previous knee injury which has now healed makes him unsuitable for jumping. Show him some love and he’ll reward you in spades. Georgica is located at Bart’s Farm at Castlereagh, NSW.

Blixam is a 5yo Strada x Teens mare who stands at approximately 16.2hh. She has only recently begun work under saddle but shows improvement every day and is a delight to have in the stable. Blixam has nice fluid movement and could turn her hoof to almost anything with the right guidance and training. She is easy to catch and handle but will need an intermediate rider to continue her education and get the best out of her. Blixam is located at Bart’s Farm at Castlereagh. If you’re looking for a brave, level-headed horse you can trust, 6-year-old High Chaparral x Vinavion gelding Wine Bush is your man. He stands at 16hh, has no spook, buck or bolt in him and always listens to his handler. Formerly part of the successful Chris Waller Racing stable, Wine Bush can boast winning a Listed race as a 3yo with Hugh Bowman in the saddle. He retired to Team Thoroughbred in September 2019 with a tendon injury, but that has now healed and he has been sound ever since. While he is at the beginning of his retraining, Wine Bush takes everything in his stride and does his best to please. His new owner will need to continue his education, but he already has the foundations for a rider to have fun on. He does wind suck but that can be managed. Wine Bush would suit almost any low-level equestrian pursuit and is ready to become your best friend
