The NSW Thoroughbred Racing industry is a major industry which contributes significantly to the economy of New South Wales and is one of the state’s major employers.
The industry has over 54,000 participants and 27,600 full-time equivalent employees.
In NSW alone there are 128 race clubs conducting 780 race meetings each year at 125 race tracks. Prize money distributed each season is more than $250 million.
Our objective is to increase the safety, sustainability and professionalism of the thoroughbred racing industry through the provision of training and workforce development services across New South Wales.
