Team Thoroughbred NSW is the heart of Racing NSW's commitment to the thoroughbred horse in every stage of its life. It supersedes the NSW Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Trust, which has been providing retraining for racehorses to help them find quality new homes and careers in retirement since 2011.

Raise An Angel was meant to be exported at the end of her Australian racing career but a series of events led to her being abandoned in a paddock at Yass. She was rescued by Racing NSW and adopted by a top horse trainer’s wife who discovered a heartwarming link to her past.
Last November 19-year-old equestrienne Hannah Klep had a six-month goal of competing in three star events with her off the track thoroughbred, Reprieve. This week they will represent Australia at the Oceania Eventing Championships in New Zealand, blowing even Hannah’s own expectations out of the water.
