Retired Thoroughbred Ownership

If you’re the owner of a retired Thoroughbred racehorse, we would love to ensure your details are up to date in our system!

You can update your horse’s details with Racing Australia.

Click here to download the Retired Horse Status Update Form, fill it in and email it to customerservice@racingaustralia.horse

If you want to compete your retired Thoroughbred racehorse at any Equestrian Australia event, and register it, all you need is your Thoroughbred’s microchip number and/or racename.

However, if you want an official ID card for your horse, you can also apply for a Retired Racehorse Identification Card, which is suitable for showing purposes, for a fee with Racing Australia. Once verified they will send this to you along with an official pedigree. The link to this form can be found here.

If you have any questions, please contact us and the team will be happy to help.
