Horse Profiles
Palasport (REHOMED)
If you are looking for a well put together horse with a cute head to match Palasport is for you, he has 3 lovely paces and would suit any path you want to take him on has a natural head carriage and is very willing to learn, would suit intermediate rider. While he is loving the winter as he is a furry teddy bear in summer he does not like the midges so will need to be rugged.
Ecuador (REHOMED)
Ecuador is one of the distinguished gentlemen in our herd who had an accomplished race career that saw him win over $1m in prize money. Turns out, not only does have skills on the track he has paces that would see him at home in the show ring or dressage arena. A son of High Chaparral he has charisma and presence in spades and according to his retrainer in Port Macquarie Cassie Schmidt he is a little ripper who enjoys his work.
Washington Park
This guy is a massive smoocher. He is just gorgeous. Whilst trying to take photos of another horse in the paddock he made it apparent that he wanted me to find him a home where he can be stroked, groomed and have a chat. So we threw a halter on him and took some pics. Not content with that, he thought that he would eat my hat, play with my jacket and follow us back to the gate. Washington seems to be an excellent doer, chubby on pasture. He is also quite a looker with a lovely coat and nicely put together.
If you aren’t content just for a cuddle, he can also take you out trail riding or for some light all rounder activities. He is very quiet, but green. Washington has an an odd paddling action in front, so unlikely to make a high level competition prospect, but he seems very keen to turn up for work!
If you are looking for a buddy who wants to be your friend, this guy is the horse for you.
Lincoln Cash Man (REHOMED)
This fellow has a quiet temperament, lovely paces and would make a delightful addition to any barn. He walks straight up to you in the paddock, puts his nose in the halter and loves being fussed over and groomed. From the moment he arrived, Lincoln Cash Man could be lead calmly from the paddock despite his new surrounds. He scored well in his trainability and rideabilty assessment and is both willing and obedient. Due to a left knee injury he will only be suitable for low-level activity like trail riding and basic dressage.
Ollie the Third (REHOMED)
Ollie is a nice guy, happy to be around you, laps up grooming and happily cruised around on the lunge for his photo shoot. The boys think he is a nice easy horse to have at the barn. Ollie came to us in April 2019, and is currently rehabilitating from a suspensory injury, however he is sound at walk, trot and canter. His retirement details indicated he had no vices and that he loves attention.
Our assessment is limited at this stage due to his rehabilitation, but he presents as a nice eventing type with a calm demeanor and friendly nature. Ollie is due to be re-scanned in July 2019. In the interim we will be pumping his tyres up with some ulcer treatment and conditioning to get him back to looking his best.
Wild Kingdom
Wild by name, calm and rideable by nature. This guy would make a great solid partner for some lucky person. He is affectionate, attractive and has a rocking horse canter. He is also … a rig, but demonstrates no colty behaviour, in fact he is obedient, willing and highly trainable.
Wild Kingdom has a excellent walk and canter and would make a very good low to medium level competition horse. He does have audible breathing at canter, his surrender form indicated he had wind surgery for epiglotic entrapment but he managed to race several times after his surgery.
Wild Kingdom was a big hit with our team and is worth a look.
Strada Prince
Strada Prince is an attractive, compact gelding with lovely paces and a trainable nature.
His paces were rated by our assessors as 2.5/3 and his first ride with us under saddle was a breeze. Strada Prince needs a bit of leg to get going but once he does he has a lovely rolling canter. The videos are his first ride under saddle with us.
Charlie thinks he would make a good young rider, or pony club horse. He reckons he is ugly, but cute, but I think he is just cute. A willing fellow who would be a great partner in crime.
Strada Prince will windsuck when boxed, and says he prefers a paddock as his home.
Magic Mary
Madam is a stunner, and athletic, but a bit of a minx under saddle. An anxious girl who needs someone with skill and patience to work through her issues on the ground first, and build her trust. Mary is not for the faint hearted, but may be the perfect match for the right person. She was ridden a few times, and improved through the ride but could be very sensitive and reactive to pressure. An old tongue injury means she is sensitive in the mouth. Mary is 15.3/16hh, nice and compact with good conformation.
Her trainer indicated she can be very quiet/relaxed in the right hands.
Come and meet her at Capertee, NSW if you are skillful and kind or are interested in a broodmare.
Negotiable to good, knowledgeable home.
Satirical Magic (REHOMED)
This guy is a stunner! Well put together, majestic and gorgeous paces. I love him and my thing is bays….. The photos don’t do him justice so I have asked the boys to take more. A real powerhouse contained in a gentleman’s temperament. We think he would have made a top eventer or showjumper but are pitching him more as a dressage horse or hack as he has injured his right front Superficial Digital Flexor Tendon and requires spelling. Our trainer, Charlie didn’t want to get off, this video shows him being ridden fresh off the truck from the trainer. He took it all in his stride. He has not been lame at all since arriving, but swelling made us suspect a problem and Ultrasound confirmed the above.
His surrender form indicated he had no vices, and none have been displayed since being in our care. He scored highly on both trainability and rideability assessments.
Do you have space for him to spell? He needs until May 2020 off and he can then commence a rehabilitation program but could be superstar in the future. Negotiable to good home. Experienced rider as he is a powerhouse!
